After recently testing and reviewing the Nikon D7000 and Pentax K-5, we’ve been extremely impressing with the image quality and low-light performance coming from both cameras. What do they have in common? They both use the same Sony-manufactured 16MP sensor inside. Today DxO Labs has released DxOMark scores for Sony’s DSLR using that same sensor, the Sony A580, and no surprise, it too turns in the same high marks that the Pentax K-5 and Nikon D7000 did when they were recently tested. Bottom line, if you want a DSLR producing the top level of image quality and impressive ISO performance and you want it to be super affordable, strongly consider the Sony A580.
